Farmers from all over Southern Africa attend the Nampo harvest festival, held close to Bothaville during May each year. This presents suppliers to this industry with a great opportunity to exhibit their products – but with so many competitors you have to make sure that your stand STANDS out!
Experience has taught us that if a comfortable environment is created in the tent, it draws the crowd in. Previous themes for the UD stand at Nampo include a Western Ranch, a Farm Stall (that year people actually came inside the tent asking if the products on display were for sale) and a Farm Barn Workshop.
This year the theme was again a vintage farmhouse – with current flair added to the mix. A lounge area was created with a white couch, transparent chairs and a plant-filled champagne table. Scaffolding was used as shelving behind the white coffee bar.
On the patio we used wooden tables with living centrepieces in white flower boxes, and for seating: benches with printed cushions and Ghost chairs. We had pillars custom built for the event and filled them with local produce. Two of the pillars even functioned as water features, creating interesting talking points for visitors to the stand.
“Nampo Oesdag – Dis mos Mielies!” And pumpkins!
